WoodRunner Games at GDC San Francisco!

After being chosen to be part the Québec's delegation, Rob and I (two cofounders) packed our bags and flew to The Bay with our girlfriends (Jessica & Jany). It was our first live event representing the Studio. The goal was to meet with people of the industry (some of them that we only got to see in video meeting), enjoy the city and make friends. Even though we were still a '''ghost studio'', we were really surprised and happy to receive such great feedback from our first trailer. We couldn't wait to tell the team, that worked so hard, how much positive vibes we were getting at Game Developers Conference. We finally met with Pierre Moisan in person, who guided us since the very beginning. We were really happy to bring him and Bobby Wertheim from Curves to see the Golden State Warriors team in the phenomenal Chase center. Even though the team lost to the San Antonio Spurs at the very end, it was a very close and exciting game! We also had the pleasure to meet with Marina Barthelemy, which is our first private investor. It was really nice for us to see her for the first time and have a chat about new upcoming steps for the game. Without naming everyone that we met during the event, Rob and I were stoked to meet such nice people like other studios from Québec, members/staff of La Guilde du jeu vidéo du Québec, publishers and other companies that shall help us during the process of making Quack!. We took the last three days off, enjoying the beautiful and windy city of San Francisco, California. Here's a list of our favorite spots to visit in San Francisco with pictures below:

-Enjoying a delicious and cheap diner at IPPUDO Ramen Restaurant.

-Enjoying a nice tea and dessert at Tea Garden.

-Play some old arcade games or just watch any sport game at the Emporium.

-Drink a local beer at The PawnShop hidden bar.

-Walking in the Golden Gate Park.

-Seeing a comedy show at Cheaper Than Therapy Theater.

-Did not make it to Alcatraz but lots of people said it was a must do.

-Seeing a Golden State Warriors game at brand new Chase Center.

-Tour of Oracle Park (was closed due to COVID-19 restrictions).

-Walking along the Golden Gate Beach (Taking beautiful pictures near the bridge).

-Seeing a bunch of sea lions at Pier 39.

-Hiking in the Muir Woods National Park.

-Golden Gate TapRoom is a nice sports bar with shuffle board game (Next door of Comedy Club).
